Sr. HR Manager France / Italy
In this role, you will report to the EMEA Manufacturing HR Director and work closely with the EMEA HR Team as well as leaders and employees within the global SBD team. The position is based out of Besancon, France.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of HR Managers located in our plants in France and Italy
- Coordinate and execute HR projects
- Translate and implement the global HR policies and programs within France and Italy
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues as needed
- Conduct and lead on investigations as required
- Provide day to day performance management guidance to direct reports and management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Work with direct reports, management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Close collaboration with the works council and union
- Lead business restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Identify training needs and implement appropriate solutions
Required skills:
- Fluent in English and French (German or Italian are a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent experience with the French Administration, Union and Works Council
- Excellent Working knowledge of French and Italian employment law and industry best practices
- Previous experience working in HR in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required
- 5 - 7 years of progressive HR experience including leadership
- Excellent Working knowledge of French and Italian employment law and industry best practices
- Strong coaching mentality
- Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization
- Results oriented mindset with ability to prioritize and complete projects.
- Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
- Workday software experience (preferred)
